Data Engineer (AWS)

For our Client, we are looking for a Lead Data Engineer who will be responsible for building and optimizing modern cloud data platforms on AWS. This is a hands-on role focused on developing data pipelines, designing data models, and delivering analytics-ready datasets. You will work closely with architects, analysts, and client stakeholders to build reliable, well-governed data solutions supporting advanced analytics and machine learning use cases. The project includes developing event-based and batch processing solutions for ML, advanced analytics, and data sharing across business units. 📍 Poland / Remote 🎯 Your responsibilities • Design and implement scalable batch data pipelines on AWS using AWS Glue • Develop and optimize data transformations using Apache Spark and SQL, ensuring performance and maintainability • Design efficient data models for analytical and reporting use cases (data lakes, data warehouses) • Build analytics-ready datasets supporting ML and advanced analytics • Ensure data reliability, quality, monitoring, and performance in distributed environments • Work directly with business stakeholders to translate requirements into data engineering solutions • Collaborate with architects, analysts, and engineering teams 🧠 Requirements • 4–6 years of experience as a Data Engineer • Strong SQL and Python skills (production-grade code) • Hands-on experience with AWS (Glue, S3, Lambda, Redshift) • Experience designing ETL / ELT pipelines • Knowledge of data governance, data quality, and data integration principles • Practical experience with CI/CD pipelines (GitLab) and Infrastructure as Code (Terraform) • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills • Experience working in Agile environments • English level C1 ➕ Nice to have • Experience with Power BI ⭐ What will set you apart • Proactive mindset • Challenger attitude toward improving existing solutions • Strong communication skills • High ownership of assigned tasks 📍 We will contact selected candidates only.
