Unleash the Power of Data - Drive Strategic Innovation in Insurance! Warsaw-based opportunity with a hybrid work model - only 1 x week in the office (city center) As a Data Engineer, you will be working for our client, a leading player in the insurance industry dedicated to transforming data into strategic insights. You will contribute to migrating and modernizing their data environment on Azure, enabling smarter decision-making and operational excellence across international teams. This role offers a unique chance to innovate within a dynamic environment, supporting your professional growth in data engineering. Your main responsibilities: • Lead the migration of the on-premise Cloudera environment to Azure Databricks, ensuring seamless transition and scalability. • Develop and optimize data pipelines, transformations, and automation steps using Azure, Python, and SQL. • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality reports and dashboards, supporting strategic business initiatives. • Enhance data processing workflows, increase automation, and implement new features for improved reporting and business steering. • Engage with international stakeholders to understand their data needs and deliver tailored solutions. • Drive continuous improvement in data delivery, transformation, and reporting processes. • Support and promote best practices in data engineering within a dynamic, international environment. You're ideal for this role if you have: • 3-5+ years of professional experience in data engineering or related fields, preferably within insurance or financial services. • Strong expertise in Azure Data Engineering tools, especially Azure Databricks, SQL, and Python. • Solid analytical skills and a structured, solution-oriented working approach. • Excellent communication skills with the ability to engage both technical and non-technical audiences. • A collaborative mindset with the confidence to actively participate in cross-departmental initiatives. • Good English (communicative level). • Polish language skills are required.
