Data Engineer (Big Data) - Krakow - Poland - onsite - Hybrid

We are seeking a highly skilled Data Engineer to join our growing data team in Kraków. This role is ideal for someone with strong Big Data expertise, excellent analytical capabilities, and a passion for turning complex data into meaningful business insights. Key Responsibilities • Design, build, and maintain scalable data pipelines and data architecture in a Big Data environment • Execute complex data analysis and develop advanced SQL queries to support business and technical needs • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand data requirements and deliver high-quality solutions • Ensure data quality, integrity, and performance across platforms • Work closely with stakeholders to translate business requirements into technical solutions • Contribute to Agile delivery processes and continuous improvement initiatives Required Skills & Experience • 5+ years of relevant experience as a Data Engineer in a Big Data environment • Strong expertise in complex data analysis and advanced SQL querying • Proficiency in programming languages such as Python and/or Scala • Hands-on experience with Spark and Big Data processing frameworks • Experience with cloud platforms, preferably Azure Cloud • Familiarity with Databricks and Power BI (or similar BI tools) is a strong advantage • Solid understanding of Agile methodologies and delivery practices • Strong analytical, data management, and problem-solving skills • Excellent communication skills with the ability to collaborate with global stakeholders • Fluent in English (written and spoken) Personal Attributes • Strong team player with excellent interpersonal skills • Proactive, resilient, and able to take initiative • Keen interest in understanding business context behind data • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, global environment What We Offer • Opportunity to work on large-scale, impactful data projects • Collaborative and international team environment • Modern tech stack and cloud-based infrastructure • Career growth and development opportunities If you're passionate about Big Data and want to make a real impact in a global organization, we’d love to hear from you.
