Data Engineer with German (ETL / Data Warehousing)

Our Client is an international organization delivering strategic initiatives focused on building modern data and reporting environments. The project centers around creating a new Data Mart, designing data structures, and shaping the architecture from scratch within a newly established team.You will join at an early, pioneering stage, with real influence over the direction of the solution and the team’s working standards. We are looking for an experienced Data Engineer who thrives in an environment that requires independence, ownership, and a proactive mindset. 📍 WORK MODE: 100% remote ⏱️ AVAILABILITY: Project start: ASAP We are looking for candidates available immediately or with a short notice period. 🧑‍💻 YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES: • Building a new Data Mart from scratch, including data structure design, integration layers, and solutions supporting business goals • Developing and maintaining ETL processes (Extract, Transform, Load) using tools such as IBM DataStage or similar enterprise technologies • Designing data models and optimizing data warehouse architecture based on Oracle Database • Collaborating with an international project team and business stakeholders in German • Taking an expert role in the initial phase of the project and supporting knowledge transfer to the client’s internal team • Contributing to best practices, development standards, and the future growth of the data environment 🔍 REQUIREMENTS: ✅ Must-have: • Minimum 3 years of commercial experience as a Data Engineer, ETL Developer, or in a similar data warehouse-related role • Hands-on experience with IBM DataStage or alternatively Informatica • Experience working with Oracle Database and data modeling • Ability to work independently across the full lifecycle – from concept to production deployment • Builder mindset – proactive, solution-oriented, with strong ownership • German language proficiency at minimum B2/C1 level (mandatory) ⭐ Nice-to-have: • Experience with Automic or other orchestration tools • Background in banking or financial services • Experience in knowledge transfer and mentoring 🤝 WHY JOIN? • 100% remote work with full flexibility – no regular onsite requirements • Opportunity to join the project at an early stage and shape the architecture • Long-term engagement planned until the end of the year with potential extension • International environment with daily use of German • High level of autonomy, ownership, and decision-making impact • Opportunity to help build a new team and define ways of working from the ground up 📍Thank you for all applications!
