We’re Hiring: Data Analyst (GCP) – Trading & Risk Insights 📍 UK / EU (Hybrid or On-site)🕒 Full-time About the Role We’re partnering with a leading consulting-led organisation supporting global clients across financial services and digital transformation. With a strong presence across multiple countries, this organisation works at the intersection of strategy, technology, and data to drive meaningful business outcomes. As part of a growing data function, they are looking for a Data Analyst to support trading and risk teams with actionable insights derived from complex financial datasets. What You’ll Be Doing • Analyse large-scale financial and market datasets to support trading, risk, and compliance teams • Build dashboards and reporting solutions using tools like Tableau, Power BI, or Looker • Write advanced SQL queries across cloud and on-prem databases (e.g. BigQuery, Redshift, Athena, Oracle) • Partner with stakeholders (traders, risk, compliance) to uncover insights on trade behaviour, exposure, and anomalies • Work in Agile teams to continuously improve reporting and data models • Ensure data quality, consistency, and integrity across multiple systems What We’re Looking For • Strong SQL skills across modern data platforms • Experience with BI and data visualisation tools (Tableau, Power BI, Looker, etc.) • Understanding of financial instruments (e.g. equities, derivatives, FX) • Exposure to cloud environments (AWS, GCP) • Basic programming experience (Python or R is a plus) • Strong communication skills and ability to work with non-technical stakeholders • Experience working in Agile environments (Scrum or Kanban) Nice to Have • Familiarity with market data providers (e.g. Bloomberg, Refinitiv) • Experience in regulatory or risk reporting (e.g. MiFID II, EMIR) Why Apply? • Work on high-impact projects within trading and risk • Collaborate with experienced professionals across data and financial services • Exposure to modern cloud data platforms and tools • Flexible working options (hybrid/on-site)
