About the Role
We are looking for an experienced Data Governance Consultant to support our client in building a mature Data Governance framework, defining enterprise-wide standards, and providing strategic recommendations for data, analytics, and AI initiatives.
About the Project
You will join a strategic project focused on developing and strengthening the organization's Data Governance, Data Management, and Data Quality capabilities.
In this role, you will contribute to designing the target Data Governance operating model, establishing governance standards, and enabling the organization to make effective use of its data across analytics, reporting, and AI-driven initiatives.
This opportunity is ideal for someone who can bridge business, technology, and regulatory perspectives, translating complex data-related challenges into clear recommendations and actionable solutions.

Responsibilities
• Provide expert advisory services in the areas of Data Governance, Data Management, and Data Quality.
• Co-create the organization's target Data Governance operating model.
• Define and develop policies, standards, roles, and responsibilities related to data governance.
• Assess the organization's data management maturity, identifying gaps, risks, and improvement opportunities.
• Prepare strategic recommendations and roadmaps for Data Governance development.
• Review and provide guidance on data architecture, information models, metadata management, and Data Lineage.
• Define data quality standards, KPIs, and monitoring processes.
• Evaluate data readiness for analytics, reporting, and AI initiatives.
• Review technology projects and initiatives to ensure compliance with Data Governance principles.
• Prepare executive-level materials and recommendations for senior management.
• Facilitate strategic workshops with business stakeholders, IT, Security, and Compliance teams.
• Provide subject matter expertise and ensure adherence to established Data Governance standards.
Requirements
•
10+ years of leadership experience in Data Governance, Data Management, Business Intelligence, and Data Warehousing, including hands-on implementation of Data Governance initiatives.
• Strong expertise in Data Governance operating models and industry best practices for Data Quality Management.
• Proven experience in creating internal governance documentation, including policies, standards, and procedures.
• Practical knowledge of Data Governance platforms and tools from both functional and architectural perspectives.
• Experience working within large, complex, and highly regulated organizations (e.g., banking, insurance, healthcare, public sector, telecommunications).
• Ability to prepare strategic recommendations and communicate effectively with executive leadership.
• Strong expertise in:• Metadata Management

• Data Quality
• Master Data Management (MDM)
• Business Intelligence
• Data Warehouses
• Modern Data Platforms
• Information Architecture
• Understanding of how data supports Advanced Analytics, Machine Learning, and AI.

• Ability to bridge business, technology, and regulatory requirements.
• Fluent English.

• Knowledge of DAMA-DMBOK, DCAM, or similar Data Governance frameworks.
• Experience with AI Governance and Responsible AI.
