Data Science Trainee

EPAM Campus offers a free Data Science training program to help you gain market-oriented hard and soft skills alongside IT professionals. In this intensive course, you will dive deep into statistics & data analysis, understand regression, classification and clustering techniques, as well as explore neural network basics.

This program will last ~4 months and require ~15 hours of weekly engagement. Completing it won't guarantee a job, but it will lay a solid foundation to enter the profession confidently, either at our company or in the broader IT market.

Requirements

General requirements:
• The program is available to citizens and permanent residents of Poland
• Second-to-last or final year university students and recent graduates
• Individuals aged 18 years and older

Skills requirements:
• English level B2 (Upper-Intermediate) or higher
• Strong knowledge of Python, including the NumPy and Pandas libraries
• Proficiency in mathematical analysis (main topics of derivatives, integrals, extrema of functions in multidimensional real space)
• Skills in linear algebra (vectors, matrices, tensors, linear equations, eigenvalues and eigenvectors, quadratic forms)
• Knowledge of probability theory (definition of probability, conditional probability, Bayes theorem, expectation)
• Command of statistics (basic concepts, hypothesis testing, concept of likelihood, estimation of distribution parameter)
• Understanding of basic optimization concepts and methods (stationary points, Lagrange multipliers, gradient descent)
• Knowledge of data structures and algorithms (sorting algorithms, algorithm complexity)

Nice to have:
• Fluency in Polish at C1 (Advanced) level and higher
