Hadoop Administrator

📍 Location: Poland 🏠 Work Mode: 100% Remote 📆 Duration: 6 months (with possible extension) 💼 Employment Type: B2B Contract We are looking for: Experienced Hadoop Administrator with strong Big Data platform support and troubleshooting expertise. The ideal candidate is open to fully remote work and currently located in Poland. Key Responsibilities • Administration and support of Hadoop ecosystem platforms (Hadoop, Spark, HBase) • Monitoring Big Data clusters and managing incidents according to runbooks/SOPs • Performing cluster maintenance, upgrades, and patching activities • Troubleshooting platform and application-level issues in distributed environments • Conducting root cause analysis (RCA) of production incidents and implementing preventive measures • Automating operational tasks using Ansible, Shell, and Python • Improving system stability, performance, and reliability Mandatory Technical Skills • Strong hands-on experience with Hadoop ecosystem and core Hadoop components • Solid knowledge of Python • Experience troubleshooting Hadoop services and distributed systems • Writing and maintaining Ansible playbooks • Automation using Ansible, Shell scripting, and Python • Strong understanding of Unix/Linux internals and networking • Experience with cloud technologies is a plus Required Experience • 7+ years of professional experience • Strong debugging and analytical skills • Experience in production-critical environments • Ability to work independently in a remote setup
