IT Business Analyst

As an IT Business Analyst, you will play a key role in shaping and documenting enhancements related to payment solutions and systems tightly connected with the organization’s core payment platform. This includes areas such as payment file processing, clearing, and settlement workflows, with requirements gathered in close cooperation with business stakeholders.

Responsibilities:
• Design and document new functionalities related to the core payment ecosystem, including payment file processing, clearing, and settlement activities
• Gather and analyze requirements provided by business stakeholders and translate them into clear, actionable specifications
• Prepare technical and functional documentation to support developers, testers, and business teams throughout the delivery process
• Utilize SQL, UML, and BPMN to model processes, document system behavior, and define solution requirements
• Perform data analysis using various sources such as SQL databases, BigQuery, and CSV files to identify trends and provide business insights
• Collaborate closely with software engineers, QA specialists, and business representatives to ensure successful implementation of solutions
• Contribute to process improvements by identifying opportunities to optimize workflows and enhance documentation quality
• Support problem-solving initiatives through analytical thinking, attention to detail, and a data-driven approach
• Actively participate in Agile ceremonies and contribute to maintaining an Agile mindset across the team

Requirements:
• At least 5 years of experience working as an IT Analyst within the financial services sector
• Strong background in the payments domain, including hands-on experience with integrations involving core payment systems
• Proven experience collaborating with software development and QA teams throughout the delivery lifecycle
• Ability to translate business expectations into detailed technical and functional requirements
• Practical knowledge of analytical deliverables such as process models, user requirement specifications, functional documentation, state diagrams, and use case definitions
• Hands-on experience with UML, BPMN, and SQL
• Eagerness to expand beyond your primary area of expertise and continuously learn from colleagues and new technologies
• Experience working in Agile environments (e.g., Scrum, LeSS) with a collaborative and team-oriented mindset
• Fluency in English (min. B2)

Nice to have:
• Familiarity with REST APIs and tools such as Postman
• Experience designing and documenting complex data mappings, particularly for payment messaging standards such as ISO 20022, across internal platforms and external partners
• Basic understanding of Blockchain technologies and Smart Contracts
