Ontologist

We are searching for Ontologist to design ontologies that help build out new AI domains to our client. This role focuses on developing semantic models and knowledge structures, helping to make our client internal knowledge usable by AI systems. Operating within a small central team, you’ll work with many partners in engineering, product and data science across organizational boundaries. What you’ll do Design ontologies from scratch that represent core business concepts and relationships across contexts, constraints and inference patterns, approaches to reasoning Structure knowledge for GraphRAG and Search from unstructured artifacts (documents, transcripts, reports, glossaries...) as well as for assembling agent context Work with engineers to determine how ontology gets queried, connected and reasoned over Produce design review artifacts and model documentation Validate, test against use cases, queries and workflows Establish maintenance process and build governance layer Who you are Background in ontology / knowledge representation Model using semantic standards (RDF, OWL, SHACL, SPARQL) and calibrate expressivity Experience using ontology management platforms Aware of how ontologies feed into AI systems and how agents retrieve and use structured context Use AI to increase your own scale and speed Multilingual experience a plus Information science or related field Start/end: 2026-05-18 to 2026-11-17 Workplace: The assignment can be done remotely but you need to be based in Sweden.
