You will support mission-critical Linux platforms and enterprise systems, ensuring reliable operation, optimal performance, and seamless integration across complex infrastructure. This role is pivotal in driving resilience and efficiency in a dynamic, production-facing environment—perfect for professionals eager to shape the backbone of digital transformation. Your main responsibilities: • Install, configure, and maintain databases (Oracle, PostgreSQL, MS SQL) in a production environment. • Manage patching, upgrades, backup, restore, and recovery validation to ensure data integrity. • Troubleshoot performance issues and optimize database performance through tuning. • Analyze incidents, contribute to root cause analysis, and support incident resolution. • Conduct log analysis at database and Linux levels to maintain system health. • Collaborate with Linux admins and application teams to troubleshoot interactions between database, application, and OS layers. • Execute weekend changes and perform database operations during controlled maintenance windows, including pre- and post-change validations. • Participate in a 24/7 on-call rota for incident response and support outside regular hours. • Provide input for risk assessments related to database changes. You're ideal for this role if you have: • 4+ years of experience as a DBA in production environments. • Strong Linux (RHEL) knowledge and hands-on experience with Oracle, PostgreSQL, and MS SQL databases. • Proven experience supporting mission-critical systems. • Excellent troubleshooting skills under pressure. • Experience with backup and recovery, replication/HA, performance tuning, and log analysis. It is a strong plus if you have: (optional)• Shell scripting or automation skills. • Experience with IBM Sterling File Gateway, IBM Connect:Direct, or BMC Control-M. • Exposure to financial services or regulated environments. • Supporting batch/file transfer platforms. Language Required for the role: • Fluent in English (excellent command).
