emagine is looking for a Senior Business Analyst to one of our amazing banking clients. Start date: ASAPEnd date: 2026-12-31 Location: Stockholm, 3 days onsite, 2 days remote Description: The area of Custody is running a major transformation, implementing a new IT platform that will support our business and operation in future-proofing the services in the area. You will get the opportunity to contribute to the transformation by working with requirements in this initiative. We are looking for a Senior Business Analyst / Requirements Analyst with strong experience in working with standard systems and the ability to translate business needs into effective system configurations and solutions.The role involves leading the requirements work, but with a clear focus on enabling delivery by ensuring that business requirements are actionable, aligned with system capabilities, and implemented in a structured and efficient way. A key part of the assignment is to bridge the gap between business expectations and the standard system, ensuring that the system behaves as intended rather than solely producing requirement specifications. While some guidance and support to other BAs/Requirements Analysts is expected, the primary focus is on hands-on work: driving requirement elicitation, refining them into implementable solutions, and ensuring progress towards delivery. Experience in coaching stakeholders and operational staff is valuable, but should be balanced with a strong delivery mindset and the ability to move the work forward in practice. As a Senior Business Analyst, you will lead a structured requirements process for the initiative, with a strong focus on ensuring that business demands are aligned with system capabilities and can be effectively realized in practice. You will engage with stakeholders such as Chief Product Owners, Product Owners, Architects, Tech Leads, Tech teams, Project Managers, and Managers. The responsibility of a Senior Business Analyst does not end with documenting requirements. A key part of the role is to actively follow through on proposed solutions—ensuring they are tested, validated, and challenged to confirm they represent the least complex and most effective approach. This includes continuously questioning and reducing unnecessary complexity, as well as ensuring that solutions are feasible within the standard system. The role also involves supporting stakeholders in understanding the system’s way of working, and driving alignment and acceptance of the proposed solutions across business and operations. Ultimately, the focus is on enabling real outcomes by ensuring that solutions are not only defined, but also verified, understood, and adopted. Your daily work will include: • Collect, analyze and translate business needs into functional specifications and system requirements. • Writing technical requirements such as protocol specifications. • Take lead, coordinate and drive refinement work. • Communicate with stakeholders at all different levels (business-/operation experts, Product management, architects, development teams, QA, subject matter experts) to set the requirement and scope. • Manage requirements across the product life cycle. Who we are looking for: • You need to have a technical background, a technical education and/or been working as a developer or tester. • You need to have knowledge within the Custody domain and preferably also within SEB environment. • You have strong problem-solving skills and are structured with excellent attention to detail. • You have experience of working with complex systems and/or large/complex projects and thrive in a fast-paced environment. • You are used to networking and using your communicative ability when working with stakeholder management in several areas. • You like to work both independently and with others and can work under tight deadlines while maintaining multiple tasks/projects. • As a person, you have a strong drive and like to take initiatives, and you can define a task even if it initially is vague. You are pragmatic, adaptable, and prestige-less. • You have worked as a Business Analyst for several years.
