Senior Cloud Database Engineer (SQL Server)

Due to our ongoing growth and the large number of recruitment projects we undertake for our partners, we are currently looking for: Senior Cloud Database Engineer (SQL Server) Responsibilities: • Execute VMware → Google Cloud (GCE / VM‑based) migrations for SQL Server databases • Support migration planning, execution, validation, and post‑migration stabilization • Operate SQL Server databases in hybrid (on‑prem + cloud) environments • Perform performance tuning, capacity planning, and troubleshooting • Support database changes, releases, and incidents in line with ITSM processes • Collaborate with Cloud Engineering, Security, and Application teams • Ensure documentation, runbooks, and operational procedures are updated   Requirements: • Strong hands‑on experience as a SQL Server DBA / Database Engineer • Solid experience with SQL Server on Windows in enterprise environments • Experience with cloud‑based SQL Server deployments, preferably on Google Cloud (GCE) • Experience with database migrations from on‑prem to cloud • Knowledge of High Availability / Disaster Recovery (e.g. Always On, clustering) • Experience working in regulated environments (banking, finance, or similar) • SQL Server performance tuning and troubleshooting expertise • Very good command of English, both spoken and written Nice to have: • Experience with hybrid cloud setups • Familiarity with infrastructure as code and automation concepts • Exposure to audit, risk, or compliance requirements   Offer: • Private medical care • Co-financing for the sports card • Constant support of dedicated consultant • Employee referral program
