Senior Data Engineer

The role involves full ownership of data engineering initiatives – from understanding business needs and designing scalable data models to delivering production-ready data pipelines and modern warehouse solutions.   In this role, you will play a key part in shaping a new data engineering capability, driving the modernization and consolidation of existing solutions into unified, scalable platforms. The position also requires strong ownership, close collaboration with stakeholders, and a focus on engineering excellence through modern development practices and AI-assisted productivity tools.   Expected competences and knowledge • Min. 4–5 years of experience in data engineering and building large-scale data solutions • Strong experience with modern data warehousing concepts and data modeling • Hands-on experience with Snowflake, dbt, and Airflow • Experience designing and developing robust ETL/data pipelines • Strong understanding of CI/CD processes and modern engineering practices • Ability to independently drive solutions from requirements gathering to production deployment • Experience working closely with business stakeholders and translating business needs into technical solutions • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a proactive approach to understanding business domains • Interest in AI-assisted development tools and engineering productivity improvements • Very good communication skills in English • Nice to have: Experience in banking, financial services, or risk/credit-related domains • Experience with data integration and orchestration across distributed systems • Knowledge of AI-assisted engineering tools such as GitHub Copilot • Experience working in hybrid cloud or enterprise-scale environments   Technologies you'll work with • Snowflake • dbt • Airflow • SQL • CI/CD pipelines • Data Warehousing • ETL / Data Pipelines • GitHub Copilot / AI-assisted development tools   Client – why choose this particular client from the Jit portfolio?
