As a Senior Data Modeller, you will be working for our client, a leader in data architecture and analytics. You will play a pivotal role in designing and implementing sophisticated data models that drive strategic decision-making and operational excellence. Your main responsibilities:
• Design and develop conceptual, logical, and physical data models to meet business and analytical needs.
• Collaborate with stakeholders and data teams to gather requirements and translate them into effective data modelling solutions.
• Conduct data profiling and analysis on relational and hierarchical data sources, including JSON and XML files.
• Work closely with data architects and engineers to ensure models support data transformation and high-quality data delivery.
• Participate in architecture discussions to ensure compliance with data design standards and best practices.
• Stay abreast of emerging data technologies and industry trends, recommending improvements for processes and automation.
• Support data governance, quality, and security standards to uphold organizational data integrity.
• Assist in optimizing data models for scalable cloud environments (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud).
You're ideal for this role if you have:
• At least 5 years of experience in data modelling for operational and analytical systems.
• Strong expertise in Data Vault 2.0, Star Schema, and 3NF modelling approaches.
• Proficiency in data profiling, data analysis, and working with relational databases and hierarchical data formats.
• Excellent communication skills, able to convey complex concepts to diverse audiences.
• Solid understanding of data governance principles and data protection practices.
It is a strong plus if you have:
• Hands-on experience with cloud data solutions (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud).
• Python programming skills.
• Knowledge of big data technologies like Hadoop or Spark.
• Familiarity with banking industry data models and standards (e.g., FSDM, FIBO, SWIFT).
Language required for the role:
