Senior Software Engineer (0.5 FTE → potential 1.0 FTE)

O projekcie: We are looking for an experienced Software Engineer / Developer to support the further development of a proprietary scientific computing platform. The role starts at 50% FTE with the possibility of extending to full-time. About the project We are building a web-based platform that supports computational analysis of biomolecular data using high-performance computing (HPC) resources. The system enables users to transform biological sequences into structural models and analyze their physicochemical properties using advanced computational methods. Core capabilities include: - generation of structural models from sequence data,- interactive 3D visualization of molecular structures,- surface property analysis (e.g., electrostatic and hydrophobic mapping),- prediction of stability and developability-related properties. Wymagania: - 5+ years of experience building data-driven applications (seniority depends on overall profile),- strong frontend skills (TypeScript, React),- backend experience with Python (Django, Celery),- experience with REST and/or GraphQL APIs,- proficiency with Git-based workflows (GitHub),- experience with relational and/or NoSQL databases (PostgreSQL, MongoDB),- experience with testing practices (pytest; e2e testing such as Playwright is a plus),- familiarity with cloud infrastructure (AWS),- ability to work iteratively in an agile, self-organized team. Codzienne zadania: - contribute to the development and maintenance of a complex scientific web platform, - design and implement new features end-to-end, - collaborate with local and distributed engineering teams, - work in a research-driven, fast-evolving environment, - solve challenging engineering problems at the intersection of software and computational science.
