Azure/AWS FinOps Engineer - remote working (h/f)

Are you an experienced Azure/AWS FinOps Engineer with strong analytical expertise and a passion for cloud cost optimisation? emagine has an opportunity for you to support cost governance and optimisation initiatives as part of a global platform engineering team. Skills & Experience • Expert-level experience in FinOps and cloud cost optimisation • Strong hands-on expertise in Azure and AWS environments • Advanced analytical thinking and problem-solving skills • Solid understanding of cloud architecture and cost drivers • Ability to translate technical findings into clear, business-focused insights • Proven experience working with FinOps dashboards and reporting tools • High level of curiosity and proactive investigation mindset • Strong stakeholder communication skills, particularly when engaging governance bodies like CCoE Key Tasks & Deliverables • Monitor and manage daily FinOps dashboards to track cloud spend across Azure and AWS • Identify cost spikes, anomalies, and inefficiencies in real-time usage • Perform deep-dive analysis into cost deviations • Prepare structured reports for the Cloud Center of Excellence (CCoE), including:• Root cause analysis of cost spikes • Quantification of financial impact • Clear remediation recommendations • Collaborate closely with Cloud Ops and Platform Engineering teams to ensure remediation actions are implemented • Track cost optimisation initiatives through to closure, ensuring realised savings or cost avoidance • Drive data-led decision-making through actionable insights and financial visibility Value Proposition: Join a high-impact cloud engineering function where you will directly influence cost efficiency and optimisation strategy across a complex multi-cloud environment.
