Cloud & DevOps Lead - Financial Services

O projekcie: Strategic Staffing Solutions International client is a leading global financial services firm providing investment banking, Global Market and investment management services to a substantial and diversified client base that includes corporations, financial institutions, governments, and high-net-worth individuals. As a Cloud & DevOps Lead, you will help shape the cloud technology landscape for Goldman Sachs’ Global Banking & Markets (GBM) division. You’ll design, implement, and scale cloud-native solutions that support critical trading and financial systems. This role involves partnering with cross-functional teams to enable broad adoption of secure, high-performance cloud patterns across thousands of engineers. The position is a one-year contract with the possibility to transition into a permanent role. Wymagania: - 10+ years of professional experience with public cloud services (AWS preferred). - Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent experience. - Proven experience as an Engineering Manager or Senior Technical Lead in cloud-native or platform engineering. - Strong knowledge of cloud architecture, microservices, and containerization (Docker, Kubernetes). - Experience building secure, scalable, high-availability systems in enterprise environments. - Familiarity with hybrid cloud solutions and on-prem integration. - Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills. Codzienne zadania: - Lead, mentor, and grow a team of cloud engineers, fostering collaboration and technical excellence. - Design, develop, and maintain reusable cloud patterns for public cloud (AWS) and hybrid architectures. - Facilitate migration of existing applications and development of new cloud-native applications. - Ensure a smooth cloud onboarding experience for developers and drive adoption of best practices. - Build systems with a “security-first” mindset, ensuring high availability, resilience, and scalability. - Collaborate with platform teams to define product roadmap and strategic vision. - Report on migration progress, risks, and key wins to engineering leadership. - Participate in cloud governance, ensuring all production deployments meet compliance and regulatory standards.
