Nasze wymagania: What You Need to Succeed (Required Qualifications) 5+ years of experience in VMware infrastructure design, deployment, and administration. Excellent knowledge of other Virtualisation technologies (HCI, Redhat, Nutanix etc) VCP (VMware Certified Professional) or VCAP (VMware Certified Advanced Professional) Expert-level knowledge of vSphere, vSAN, NSX, and vRealize/Aria Suite. Understanding of SAN connectivity methods including Fiber Channel and iSCSI Advanced networking concepts such as VLANs, subnetting, load balancing and management of distributed virtual switches Ability to analyse complex systems, assess risks, and solve problems. Excellent ability to communicate technical concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders. Capacity to provide technical guidance, manage projects, and think strategically about future needs. Understanding of Micro Segmentation within a Virtual environment Dedication to quality and excellent documentation skills are key. Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work as part of a creative team. O projekcie: The Team You Will Join You will join the EMEA Data Centre Platform Team supporting 6 Data Centers across EMEA. This is a newly formed team that has the goal of delivering a first-class solution for MetLife. The Opportunity The EMEA Senior VMware Engineer will primarily be responsible for the management design and implementation of complex, large-scale virtualized infrastructures, specializing in vSphere, vSAN, and NSX, while driving automation (Power CLI, Ansible, Terraform) and hybrid-cloud integration (AWS, Azure). The EMEA Senior VMware Engineer will act as a Subject Matter Expert (SME), troubleshooting high-level issues, ensuring platform security, and cross training other engineers within the wider team. The EMEA Senior VMware Engineer will is an exciting new role within the new team, and you will be responsible to the Manager of the team to deliver a world class solution for MetLife in EMEA. The ideal candidate will have a wide understanding of IT infrastructure technologies to include but not limited to Network, Storage, Backup, Replication, HCI, Virtualisation, Windows and Linux operating systems Zakres obowiązków: Design & Architecture: Creating High-Level Design (HLD) and Low-Level Design (LLD) documents for enterprise virtualized environments, including VCF (VMware Cloud Foundation) Infrastructure Management: Installing, configuring, upgrading and supporting VMware ESXi, vCenter, SRM, vRealize Operations and Aria Suite tools, this will need to include SAN integration Technology selection - Evaluate, select, and integrate new technology solutions and ensure they meet performance and security standards Project oversight - Lead infrastructure-related projects, ensuring successful implementation and transition from conception to completion Security and compliance - Implement security policies, conduct risk assessments, and ensure compliance with regulations and standards Regulatory Compliance - Ensure all system designs meet the required regulatory standards Performance and optimization- Monitor system performance, manage capacity, and identify areas for improvement Collaboration - Work with project managers, business leaders, and other IT professionals to align infrastructure with business goals Documentation and standards - Create and maintain comprehensive documentation for infrastructure processes and standards Disaster recovery - Develop and lead disaster recovery and business continuity planning
