Gerrit Expert (DevOps / Infrastructure) Location: European time zone Teams based in Paris Duration 3 months (Proof of Concept phase) Start - ASAP   About the Role We are looking for a Gerrit Expert (DevOps / Infrastructure) to support a strategic initiative aimed at transforming how Gerrit is hosted and used across multiple R&D sites worldwide. You will contribute to a Proof of Concept (PoC) designed to standardize, scale, and improve the performance of our Gerrit ecosystem, currently fragmented across several independent instances.   Gerrit has been used for several years across 7 to 10 international R&D sites, with approximately 50 users per site. Current challenges include: • Lack of standardization and collaboration • Multiple independent Gerrit instances • Version inconsistencies • Limited internal expertise and support • Data synchronization and performance issues The goal is to define a robust, scalable, and unified Gerrit architecture, while keeping infrastructure and operations managed internally.   Responsibilities in short: • Validate and improve the target Gerrit architecture • Design and implement multi-site replication strategies • Ensure data consistency across distributed environments • Define standardization practices (versions, configurations, workflows) • Support CI/CD integration and artifact management • Contribute to the setup and execution of the PoC   Key Responsibilities Architecture & Design • Review and challenge the current architecture (3rd design iteration) • Recommend a scalable and resilient Gerrit hosting model • Advise on on-premise and hybrid/cloud (Azure) approaches Replication & Data Management • Design and guide implementation of:• Master/slave replication • Multi-site synchronization • Local replicas for offline resilience • Ensure data integrity across all sites DevOps & Integration • Integrate Gerrit into the CI/CD ecosystem • Provide best practices for operations, monitoring, and performance • Support artifact management and automation Advisory & Knowledge Transfer • Share best practices from previous Gerrit implementations • Support internal teams (DevOps & infrastructure) • Contribute to documentation and long-term sustainability   Must-have • Strong expertise in Gerrit administration and architecture • Solid DevOps / infrastructure background • Experience with:• Distributed systems and replication • CI/CD pipelines • Multi-site environments Nice-to-have • Experience with Azure cloud • Knowledge of artifact management solutions • Experience in large-scale R&D environments   Soft Skills • Ability to work with both technical and business stakeholders • Strong communication and advisory skills • Autonomous and proactive mindset
