We are looking for a Kafka Expert with Admin and Technical Pre-Sales skills. The given role will cooperate with our Business Development & CTO, working on our technological partnerships and consulting. Our cooperation offer: - Remuneration ranging from 125 to 185 PLN net per hour for a start- 100% remote company with remote-first mindset- Flexible cooperation from any location and without strict schedule- Professional development and freedom in choosing toolset and tech stack- Learning-culture expressed by SoftwareMill Academy and technical reading clubs- Access to many AI tools (Claude, OpenAI, Cursor, Gemini, Copilot, etc.)- Leadership and soft-skills in-house trainings- English courses- Small to medium teams with as little procedures as possible- Best tools you need to make our cooperation effective and pleasurable: monitor(s), computer of your choice- DevOps-friendly environment with passionate and skilled people who believe in software craftsmanship - you will have a chance to meet some of them during the selection process- Interesting projects with technologies like Docker, Kubernetes, AWS, GCP, Terraform, clustering and scaling both horizontally and vertically Wymagania: What we expect: - Hands-on experience with Apache Kafka administration, performance tuning, and its ecosystem- Ability to perform Kafka consulting and lead Kafka trainings- Experience with technical pre-sales activities and direct communication with business stakeholders- Autonomy in project delivery- Readiness to represent SoftwareMill at global events (London Current, Kafka Summit, etc.)- Readiness to conduct demos and workshops with customers, both online and on-site- Experience with Kubernetes and Docker- Very good knowledge about Ansible- Experience with deployment to a cloud (AWS, GCP, Azure, etc.)- Comprehensive knowledge and understanding of the industry trends- Good knowledge of English is a must (both spoken and written), we cooperate with clients from all over the world (USA, Australia, Switzerland, etc.)- Polish language is required, as internally we are a Polish speaking company Nice to have: - Confluent Certified Administrator for Apache Kafka (CCAAK) and/or Confluent Certified Developer for Apache Kafka (CCDAK)- Hands-on experience with Confluent Platform- Very good knowledge about various IaC tools (Terraform, Pulumi, Amazon CDK)- Experience with Grafana- Experience with MLOps and/or DevSecOps- Experience with JVM applications- Management of multi-node clusters- Experience in using AI in software development and deployment cycle- Engagement in the IT community: personal blog, speaking at meetups/conferences, involvement in the open-source projects- Having a pet-project
