Senior Azure Cloud Operations Administrator

Nasze wymagania:
Several years of professional experience in Azure cloud administration, cloud operations, or infrastructure engineering.
Strong practical knowledge of Microsoft Azure services (compute, storage, networking, monitoring).
Experience with Windows Server administration in production environments.
Hands-on experience with Infrastructure as Code (Terraform, ARM/Bicep, Ansible, or similar).
Experience with automation using PowerShell, Azure CLI, or comparable scripting tools.
Knowledge of backup, disaster recovery, monitoring, and cloud operations best practices.
Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills.
Experience working with structured incident management processes (ITIL or comparable).
Ability to work independently and take ownership of operational topics.
Professional English communication skills.
Fluent German (spoken and written), as you will work closely with German-speaking customers and colleagues.

Mile widziane:
Microsoft Certified: Azure Administrator Associate
Microsoft Certified: Azure DevOps Engineer Expert
Microsoft Certified: Windows Server Hybrid Administrator Associate
Experience with Azure Monitor, Log Analytics, and Application Insights.
Experience with Microsoft SQL Server administration and performance tuning.
Experience working in regulated industries such as Pharma, MedTech, or Finance.
Familiarity with GxP or Computer System Validation (CSV).

We are looking for a Senior Azure Cloud Operations Administrator who is ready to take ownership of our Azure cloud platform, continuously improve our operational processes, and help us automate and standardize our cloud infrastructure. This is not a role for someone who simply keeps systems running. It is a role for someone who enjoys optimizing operations, driving automation, and working closely with development and support teams to deliver reliable cloud services for our customers.
Please note: This position is only open to candidates based in Poland who are interested in working on a B2B (freelance) basis.
Current Situation
Our software solutions are operated in a Microsoft Azure environment consisting of approximately 100 virtual instances. Much of the infrastructure has been migrated from on-premise environments and is continuously modernized using Infrastructure as Code and automation.
We rely on Azure-native monitoring, automated backup and maintenance processes, and ITIL-inspired operational procedures to ensure stable, secure, and highly available services. Our goal is to continuously improve operational excellence while providing outstanding service quality to our customers.

Zakres obowiązków:
Cloud Infrastructure Operations
• Monitor, maintain, and continuously improve our Microsoft Azure infrastructure.
• Ensure the availability, performance, and stability of compute, storage, networking, and platform services.
• Configure and optimize Azure monitoring, alerting, and reporting solutions.
• Identify opportunities to automate operational processes and improve platform reliability.
Incident Management & Service Quality
• Investigate and resolve infrastructure-related incidents and customer requests following ITIL-inspired processes.
• Ensure compliance with agreed Service Level Agreements (SLAs).
• Perform root cause analyses and implement sustainable improvements to prevent recurring incidents.
• Collaborate closely with development, consulting, and support teams to resolve operational issues efficiently.
Backup & Disaster Recovery
• Manage and monitor automated backup processes according to customer-specific retention policies.
• Plan, execute, and document disaster recovery tests.
• Continuously improve backup and recovery procedures to ensure business continuity.
System Maintenance & Performance
• Maintain Windows Server environments and databases using automated maintenance processes.
• Apply operating system updates, security patches, and hotfixes.
• Monitor and optimize database performance through indexing, tuning, and log analysis.
• Analyze system logs to identify performance bottlenecks and operational improvements.
Infrastructure Automation
• Provision and manage cloud infrastructure using Infrastructure as Code (Terraform, ARM/Bicep, Ansible, or comparable technologies).
• Standardize and continuously improve deployment and installation processes for our DHC VISION software.
• Drive automation initiatives that reduce manual effort and increase operational efficiency.
