Kraków-based opportunity with hybrid work model (3 days remote, 2 days office).
As a Senior Cloud FinOps Engineer, you will be working for our client, a global organization committed to optimizing cloud spending across Azure, AWS, and GCP platforms. Your expertise will support cost management, governance, and operational excellence, enabling the organization to maximize cloud investments and foster sustainable growth. This role offers a fantastic opportunity to influence cloud strategy and foster innovation within a dynamic, international environment.
Your main responsibilities:
• Identify cost drivers and implement enhancements across Azure, AWS, and GCP cloud environments.
• Optimize spend for containerized workloads such as AKS/Kubernetes by adjusting cluster sizing, autoscaling, and workload scheduling.
• Collaborate with platform teams, delivery squads, and finance partners to align cost targets with operational and technical requirements.
• Apply FinOps principles including cost allocation, showback/chargeback, and cost governance strategies.
• Implement cloud governance and compliance guardrails to ensure enterprise standards are met.
You’re ideal for this role if you have:
• 4+ years of experience in a FinOps or cloud cost management role.
• Strong working knowledge of Azure, including core services, identity, networking, and governance.
• Good understanding of AWS and GCP cost drivers and pricing mechanics.
• Practical knowledge of FinOps principles, such as cost allocation and optimization levers.
• Experience with containerized workloads, Kubernetes, AKS, autoscaling, and node pool management.
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.
It is a strong plus if you have:
• Cloud certifications (e.g., Azure, AWS, GCP).
• Previous experience implementing cloud governance or compliance guardrails in enterprise settings.
Language Required for the role:
• Communicative level of English (spoken and written).
