ABOUT DATAFEEDWATCH
DataFeedWatch is a market-leading Feed Marketing platform trusted by 20,000 online shops across 6 continents to advertise on Google, Facebook, Amazon, and hundreds of other shopping channels. Since March 2022 we are part of Cart.com, a fast-growing commerce platform that gives us the scale, resources, and ambition to build something genuinely significant.
Our team of nearly 100 people — 15 nationalities — is built on a simple belief: give smart people real ownership and get out of their way. We are a remote-first company that works hard, ships fast, and genuinely likes each other.
THE ROLE
We are growing our infrastructure capability to match the pace of the business. As Senior DevOps Engineer you will join a lean, experienced team — a DevOps Product Manager, Senior DevOps Engineer, a SysAdmin trio who are a genuine part of the team, and now you. You will take real ownership of the systems that keep 20,000 merchants running, work closely with the DevOps Product Manager on architecture and direction, and partner directly with our development teams — not as a support function, but as a technical co-owner of how we build and ship software.
This is a hands-on role. You will spend your time improving reliability, reducing toil, and raising the engineering bar — not managing tickets. If you want a role where the decisions you make on Monday are running in production by Friday, this is it.
WHAT YOU WILL OWN
• Kubernetes clusters — performance tuning, security hardening, observability, and regular upgrades
• CI/CD pipelines — automating delivery, deployments, rollbacks, and metrics collection across the software lifecycle
• Monitoring and observability stack — dashboards, alerts, SLO/SLI tracking, and log aggregation
• Hybrid infrastructure across on-prem and AWS/GCP — full IaC ownership and disaster recovery
• Security across the full technology stack — image scanning, secret management, policy enforcement, automated patching, and vulnerability remediation
• Operational toil reduction — scripting and automation that makes the team faster and on-call quieter
• Collaboration with development teams on deployments, architecture decisions, code reviews, and onboarding new services
WHAT YOU BRING
Required
• Kubernetes administration, networking, and autoscaling — Helm, ArgoCD, and GitOps experience strongly preferred
• Hands-on CI/CD experience — Jenkins, GitHub Actions, or GitLab CI
• Scripting proficiency in Python or Bash; a software development background is a genuine advantage
• Prometheus, Grafana, Loki, Alertmanager, and OpenTelemetry — metrics, tracing, log aggregation, and alerting pipelines
• AWS and/or GCP experience in hybrid cloud and on-prem environments with IaC tools — Terraform, Ansible, or SaltStack
• DevSecOps tooling — Vault, AWS Secrets Manager, container scanning, and policy-as-code
• Disaster recovery fundamentals — backup strategies, RTO/RPO definitions
• Ownership mindset — you diagnose and solve problems independently; you do not wait to be directed
• Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively with non-engineering stakeholders
• Comfort using AI tools as a natural part of daily engineering work
Nice to have
• Ruby scripting experience
• Experience in e-commerce, ad tech, or feed management platforms
• Prior work in a scale-up or fast-growth environment where infrastructure evolves quickly
WHAT SUCCESS LOOKS LIKE
At 3 months — you understand the full infrastructure landscape, have identified the top 3 reliability or toil risks, and have shipped at least one meaningful improvement.
At 6 months — CI/CD pipelines are measurably more stable, observability coverage has improved, and development teams notice the difference.
At 12 months — you are a trusted technical co-owner of infrastructure decisions, on-call burden has decreased, and the team's delivery velocity is higher because of your contributions.
WHY JOIN US
•
Impact — play a key role in scaling infrastructure that powers 20,000 merchants across 6 continents
• Ownership — real technical autonomy; you will make architecture decisions, not just implement them
• Growth — we invest in people who want to go deep, not just up; expand your skills, your product understanding, and your influence in a team that keeps the right people for the long term
• Culture — a collaborative, no-nonsense team of 15 nationalities that values people who make their own decisions
• Remote-first — flexible hours and async-friendly culture; we care about output, not hours online
• Perks — competitive salary, health insurance, free lunch at the Kraków office, and a comprehensive benefits package
HIRING PROCESS
We run a structured, respectful process designed to be efficient for both sides. Expect 3–4 stages over 2–3 weeks:
• Screening call with our Recruiter (30 min)
• WHO interview — career deep-dive with your future line manager and a technical peer (90 min)
• Technical interview — system design and a practical infrastructure exercise (60 min)
• Reference checks and offer
We move fast on people we are excited about. If that is you, you will know quickly.
