Senior DevOps Engineer (AWS)

Client Our client is an insurance solutions provider focused on creating seamless, forward-thinking experiences for independent insurance companies outside of major affiliations Team The team will grow to 12 members, including 3 DevOps professionals dedicated to driving our cloud initiatives. Position overview We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Senior DevOps Engineer to join our growing team. In this role, you will play a key part in building and operating a secure, reliable, and cost-efficient AWS infrastructure. You will leverage your expertise to enhance our cloud environments and contribute to our DevOps initiatives. Responsibilities • Design, implement, and manage AWS infrastructure and services • Utilize Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools like Terraform to automate infrastructure provisioning and management through module development • Configure and support Nginx for application deployment • Develop and maintain CI/CD pipelines using AWS CodeBuild, CodePipeline, or similar platforms • Script automation tasks in Python and Bash to streamline operations • Ensure best practices in AWS networking, VPC setup, and security compliance • Work with AWS features such as WAFv2, SSM Parameter Store, and Secrets Manager • Implement service health checks and conduct unit and integration testing for safe and efficient deployments • Troubleshoot and resolve infrastructure issues with a strong ownership mindset Requirements • 5+ years of experience in DevOps or Cloud roles • Strong hands-on experience with AWS services, including ECS Fargate, RDS, Lambda, MSK, and IAM • Proficient in Infrastructure as Code with Terraform and module development • Experience in Nginx configuration and support • Solid programming skills in Python and Bash scripting • Demonstrated experience with CI/CD pipelines (AWS CodeBuild, CodePipeline, or similar) • Strong understanding of AWS networking, VPC configurations, and security best practices • Hands-on experience with AWS WAFv2, SSM Parameter Store, and Secrets Manager • Proven capability in implementing service health checks and conducting unit & integration tests • Exceptional troubleshooting skills and a proactive ownership mindset • Valid AWS certification Nice to have • Experience with AWS Managed Streaming for Kafka (MSK) • Knowledge of multi-account AWS setup and best practices • Expertise in cost optimization strategies within AWS • Awareness of security best practices for cloud infrastructure What We Offer: • 10 illness/special days off per year (fully paid, no medical papers needed) for all contract types • Vacations: Up to 26 business days per year. • Health and life insurance (Luxmed) • MyBenefit platform with Multisport option • Internal psychological support service • English language classes from the first working day • Access to external learning platforms: O’Reilly, LinkedIn Learning, Udemy, and a wide catalog of diverse internal training • Thank You Points (TYPs) system: earn points for helping colleagues and exchange them for corporate gifts • Flexible workplace: work from the office, from home, or choose a hybrid option • Certification reimbursement (AWS, GCP, Microsoft, etc.)  • Fully paid idle (bench) when not involved in a project  • Tech Skills Mentoring Program
