Senior DevOps Engineer – Infrastructure & Operations Focus About the Role We’re looking for a seasoned DevOps Engineer with a strong operational mindset and solid experience in infrastructure automation. In this role, you will play a key part in building and maintaining the backbone of our development and deployment workflows, with a strong emphasis on infrastructure reliability, CI/CD tooling, and deployment processes. The focus of this position is not on writing application code but on ensuring our systems are robust, repeatable, and scalable. Key Responsibilities • Build and maintain infrastructure-focused CI/CD pipelines to support data engineering and software delivery teams • Develop tooling and automation to support deployment, monitoring, and configuration management • Collaborate with engineering teams to design and implement deployment pipelines aligned with modern DevOps best practices • Standardize and enforce release workflows for both on-prem and cloud-hosted environments (primarily AWS) • Support the provisioning and management of cloud infrastructure using tools such as Terraform and Ansible • Improve system reliability and observability through logging, monitoring, and alerting enhancements • Integrate automated testing and validation into the deployment lifecycle • Work closely with internal and external teams to ensure environments are stable, secure, and performant • Actively participate in troubleshooting infrastructure issues and helping development teams debug deployment failures • Define and promote standards for infrastructure-as-code, container orchestration, and release automation Requirements • Strong communication skills and the ability to collaborate across cross-functional teams • Proficiency in at least one programming or scripting language (e.g., Python, Java, Go, C#) • Hands-on experience with public cloud platforms (especially AWS) • Solid understanding of CI/CD tools such as Jenkins (Groovy pipelines), GitLab CI, GitHub Actions, or similar • Experience with build automation tools (e.g., Maven, Gradle, Make) • Deep knowledge of source control systems (preferably Git) and branching workflows • Expertise in release automation using tools like Terraform, Ansible, and shell scripting • Strong experience with containers and orchestration technologies: Docker, Kubernetes, or OpenShift • Familiarity with test automation and integrating test phases into build pipelines • A strong sense of ownership and a proactive approach to reliability, scalability, and process improvement • Previous experience working in agile delivery environments
