Job Description Join an engineering team building a next-generation, enterprise data platform that powers large-scale analytics, experimentation and AI/ML workloads across a global organization. You will work on complex platform challenges such as multi-tenancy, unified security, automation and reliable self-service - leveraging Databricks and Microsoft Azure. We’re looking for a hands-on Senior Engineer/Architect who splits time between building and technical leadership, defines domain strategy and priorities and drives cross-team adoption of platform standards. You will also support short-to-medium term engagements with internal teams to design, productionalize and operationalize Databricks-based solutions. Responsibilities: • Define and deliver platform architecture for Databricks workloads (security/IAM, networking, multi-tenancy patterns, deployment guardrails). • Build and operate scalable platform infrastructure and services. Automate through CaC ( Configuration as code) and self-service tooling. • Strengthen engineering excellence: reusable components, coding standards, code reviews, CI/CD and test automation. • Optimize Databricks workload performance, reliability, and cost. Implement monitoring/alerting and operational runbooks. • Implement governance and security best practices. Document architecture and operating procedures. • Partner with stakeholders to scope work, clarify trade-offs and deliver outcomes. Mentor engineers and influence technical direction. • Contribute to the strategic planning of team’s initiatives, leveraging insights to drive continuous improvement and innovation. • Leverage problem-solving attitude, attention to detail, strong data analysis and debugging skills, with the ability to work both independently and collaboratively. • Use your interpersonal and communication skills to effectively work in a scrum team. • Stay up-to-date with industry trends and best practices in platform engineering, data and AI technologies. Job Qualifications Required Qualifications • 8+ years hands-on experience in platform/DevOps/data engineering with recent, relevant work. • Strong Databricks production experience; strong Azure cloud experience. • Proficiency in Python and Terraform (Configuration-as-Code) • Experience delivering end-to-end solutions (design → build → deploy → operate) and driving standards across teams. • Strong troubleshooting, communication and documentation/whiteboarding skills. Preferred Qualifications • Apache Spark experience. • Familiarity with MLOps and production deployment patterns for data/AI solutions. • Experience with enterprise governance models and secure data architecture.
