Warszawa-based opportunity with hybrid work model (up to 2 remote days per week).As a Senior Windows Systems Engineer – Virtual Desktop Infrastructure and Windows Environment, you will be working for our client, a global leader in enterprise IT solutions. You’ll lead the deployment, support, and ongoing improvement of VDI and desktop infrastructure, supporting thousands of users worldwide. This role offers an exciting chance to drive technological excellence and deliver seamless, secure desktop experiences at an enterprise scale. Your main responsibilities: • Deploy, support, and enhance VDI solutions such as Citrix and RDS, ensuring stability and performance. • Manage Windows 11 virtual applications and desktops across a large-scale environment of over 80,000 machines. • Execute routine upgrades, maintenance, and handle escalations with a focus on operational excellence. • Develop and implement sustainable infrastructure solutions, automating tasks using PowerShell. • Contribute to the continuous evolution of desktop infrastructure to meet changing business needs. • Collaborate across global teams to resolve complex technical challenges efficiently. • Support the configuration and management of virtualization platforms such as VMWare ESX and RedHat OCP. You're ideal for this role if you have: • 6+ years of experience in systems engineering with Windows OS and VDI solutions. • Deep knowledge of Windows OS internals and Group Policy. • Hands-on experience with virtualization platforms, particularly VMWare ESX and RedHat OCP. • Strong PowerShell scripting skills. • Proven track record supporting large-scale enterprise environments, including virtual desktop infrastructures. • Excellent communication skills in English (fluent command). • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, global environment. It is a strong plus if you have: • Experience with Windows Server 2016+ and server platform management. • Prior experience working within a financial institution or regulated industry. • Knowledge of on-premises infrastructure engineering and management. • Relevant certifications such as Microsoft Certified: Windows Server or VMWare Certified Professional. Language Required for the role: • Fluent Polish and English.
