About the project
Join Digital Hangar, where we develop and enhance digital solutions used by millions of passengers across the Lufthansa Group, including Lufthansa, SWISS, Austrian Airlines, Brussels Airlines, Discover Airlines and ITA Airways.
Our team is responsible for building and continuously improving customer-facing web applications that support passengers throughout their digital journey. We focus on delivering modern, reliable and user-friendly solutions across multiple airline brands.
You will work in an international, cross-functional team, primarily developing frontend solutions using React and TypeScript, while also collaborating on backend integrations and contributing to Java/Spring services when needed.
This is an opportunity to work on large-scale applications, tackle complex technical challenges and contribute to digital products that have a direct impact on the travel experience of millions of passengers.
Who are you?
• 3+ years of professional software development experience.
• Strong hands-on experience with React and TypeScript / modern JavaScript (ES2020+).
• State management with Redux (Redux-Saga and the Ducks pattern are a plus).
• Experience with Java/Spring or foundations of its understanding and a dedication to grow towards backend development.
• Testing with Vitest/Jest and React Testing Library.
• SCSS, responsive and accessible UI (WCAG).
• Practical experience with Git and CI/CD.
• Practical experience with Azure DevOps and Docker.
• Experience working in an Agile/Scrum environment.
• Good analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills.
• Professional working proficiency in English, both written and spoken (B2/C1).
• Availability to work in a hybrid model – 2 days per week in our Gdańsk office.

• Developing modern web applications using React and TypeScript, including login, registration and customer account features.
• Building reusable components shared across multiple airline brands.
• Implementing responsive and accessible UI with SCSS and Web Components.
• Managing application state with Redux (including Redux-Saga and the Ducks pattern).
• Integrating applications with backend services and external APIs, and contributing to Java/Spring services where needed.
• Participating in the design and maintenance of a monorepo (Yarn workspaces, Lerna).
• Writing and maintaining unit and integration tests using Vitest, React Testing Library and Storybook.
• Working with Git and Azure DevOps for project management and CI/CD pipelines, owning features from refinement to production.
• Collaborating with backend developers, designers, QA engineers and business stakeholders in a Scrum team.
• Troubleshooting and resolving issues in production.
• Contributing to continuous improvement of development processes and code quality, including AI-assisted tools.
