Senior Java Developer – B2B Contract (Poland)
Greenfield Trading Platform
Role: Senior Java Developer
Type: B2B Contract
Rate: High‑end market rate
Duration: Long‑term, multiple extensions expected
Location: Warsaw (hybrid)
Industry: Financial Services A leading financial institution is expanding its engineering capability in Poland as part of a major strategic platform build. This role has multiple headcount, offering long‑term stability, complex engineering challenges, and direct involvement in shaping a new enterprise‑wide system.
Platform Overview
You’ll be contributing to a greenfield platform that will sit between the UI layer and multiple backend systems across the bank. The first major use case is a consolidated trade blotter covering FX Cash, Options, Commodities and Interest Rates, with production launch targeted this year and ongoing feature expansion planned.
Tech stack & direction:
• Java
• Spring
• Oracle
• Messaging layer: Kafka or Solace
• Microservices architecture
• Reactive programming patterns
Role Overview
You’ll work within the platform engineering function, contributing to backend services, messaging architecture, and integration patterns. The role is hands‑on, delivery‑focused, and suited to engineers who enjoy solving complex problems in high‑impact environments.
Key technical focus areas:
• Core Java expertise - concurrency, collections, practical coding ability
• Messaging technologies (Kafka or Solace)
• Microservices & reactive programming
• Solution design around messaging and system integration
• Financial markets knowledge
