Summary: The Senior Developer will be a key member of the engineering team, responsible for building and evolving a financial processing platform focused on performance, scalability, and reliability.
Responsibilities:
• Own and drive the technical vision, architecture, and design of the platform.
• Lead the design and implementation of scalable backend services, distributed systems, and B2B APIs.
• Make critical technical decisions balancing scalability, performance, reliability, and maintainability.
• Define engineering standards, best practices, and coding guidelines across the team.
• Lead architectural reviews and ensure alignment with long-term technology strategy.
• Drive the migration and modernization of services from PHP and Java to Go.
• Mentor and support engineers through code reviews, technical coaching, and knowledge sharing.
• Lead technical discussions and facilitate solution design workshops.
• Foster a culture of ownership, collaboration, continuous improvement, and engineering excellence.
• Help shape team processes, technical roadmaps, and delivery practices.
• Act as the primary technical point of contact for complex initiatives and critical incidents.
Must Haves:
• Experience leading technical initiatives and influencing architectural decisions.
• Expertise in PHP and Java programming.
• Experience with Go programming language.
• Strong understanding of relational databases, particularly PostgreSQL.
• Proficient in building APIs and backend systems.
• Proven experience in performance optimization and scalability solutions.
• Experience with Git and AWS.
Nice to Haves:
• Familiarity with observability tools like Grafana or Alloy/Loki.
• Experience with containerization technologies (e.g., Docker).
• Knowledge of CI/CD pipelines.
