Project Description
he Client is consolidating two legacy client portals into a single modern platform, bringing feature parity ahead of client migration. Stack: PHP (Laravel), RabbitMQ, MySQL, Nuxt.js (Vue.js) on AWS.
This role sits at the center of delivery — bridging business stakeholders, the engineering team, and the Client's product organization to turn the consolidation vision into a prioritized, well-defined backlog and ensure what ships matches business intent.
Requirements
• 5+ years as a Business Analyst and/or Product Owner in a software development environment
• Strong requirements elicitation, analysis, and documentation across business, functional, and non-functional needs
• Hands-on experience writing clear user stories with acceptance criteria and managing/prioritizing a product backlog
• Experience working in Agile / Scrum / Kanban teams
• Proficiency with Jira (required) and Confluence (or comparable Agile and documentation tooling)
• Familiarity with SaaS business models and cloud-based architectures, with a working understanding of AWS
• Understanding of REST APIs, integrations, and data flows
• Process mapping and modeling skills (BPMN, flow diagrams)
• Strong stakeholder management, facilitation, and workshop leadership
• Solid understanding of the software development lifecycle (SDLC)
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Ability to work in a distributed, multi-timezone team (US / UK / Brazil)
• Excellent English communication skills, comfortable with both technical and non-technical audiences
Nice to Have
• Experience with AI-assisted development and analysis tools (Copilot, Claude, Cursor)
• Background in enterprise / B2B SaaS, multi-tenant platforms, or large-scale portals
• Experience supporting a platform consolidation, migration, or feature-parity initiative
• Certification such as CBAP, PMI-PBA, or Agile/Scrum (CSM, SAFe) / Product Owner (CSPO)
• Experience with SQL or data querying tools
• Exposure to compliance or regulatory-driven environments (data privacy, security standards)
Responsibilities
• Own, refine, and prioritize the product backlog for the portal feature-parity workstream
• Translate product vision and business objectives into clear, actionable user stories with acceptance criteria in Jira
• Elicit, analyze, and document business, functional, and non-functional requirements
• Facilitate requirements workshops, stakeholder interviews, and discovery sessions
• Lead and support sprint planning, backlog grooming, and release planning
• Ensure requirements traceability from business objective through to delivery
• Collaborate with engineering, UX, DevOps, and QA to clarify requirements and resolve ambiguities
• Document workflows, process diagrams, system interactions, and data flows
• Define KPIs and success metrics for new features and releases
• Support UAT planning and validation to confirm delivered functionality meets business intent
• Identify risks, dependencies, and impacts of proposed changes
• Engage with Client product and engineering counterparts in US / UK / Brazil on scope, integration points, and delivery milestones
• Participate in Agile ceremonies (stand-ups, planning, retros, demos)
