Opis stanowiska
We are looking for an experienced Product Owner to join Fabres as a freelancer, to support projects simultaneously from the final stage of the sales conversation through to delivery. The person in this role will operate at the intersection of business and technology, helping clients precisely define their needs, and then staying on board to own the product throughout the development lifecycle. At Fabres, every project is a custom software engagement – so the right person must be equally comfortable closing a discovery session with an international client and running a sprint planning with a development team the next day.
Collaboration Model
B2B contract – flexible schedule adapted to the rhythm of projects and the client's sales process. This is an on-demand engagement: the person will be expected to jump in on an hourly basis as needed, depending on current project workload, rather than committing to fixed full-time hours.
Responsibilities
• Participating in late-stage client meetings and discovery sessions – uncovering real needs, constraints, and business goals before the project begins
• Translating client requirements and business context into a clear product vision, scope, and prioritized backlog
• Defining and maintaining user stories, epics, and acceptance criteria to a high standard
• Prioritizing the backlog in close collaboration with stakeholders, balancing business value, technical feasibility, and delivery capacity
• Owning the product roadmap and communicating it clearly to both technical teams and business stakeholders
• Facilitating agile ceremonies – sprint planning, backlog refinement, sprint review, and retrospectives
• Acting as the primary point of contact between the development team and the client throughout delivery
• Identifying risks, dependencies, and scope changes early and managing them proactively
• Ensuring delivered features meet acceptance criteria and truly solve the underlying business problem
Requirements
• 4–5+ years of experience as a Product Owner, focusing on both business and technical aspects of IT products
• Experience in projects within e-commerce/electromobility industry
• Understanding of software development practices, system design, databases, microservices architecture, and API integrations
• Proven ability to conduct conversations with clients
• Highly developed soft skills: active listening, storytelling, relationship building
• Ability to quickly understand business needs and translate them into concrete product solutions
• Confidence in leading presentations and workshops
• Experience writing user stories and managing a product backlog
• Experience working in a freelance or multi-project environment
• Familiarity with agile methodologies (Scrum, Kanban)
• Familiarity with tools such as Jira, Confluence
• English at C1 level – ability to conduct meetings with international clients
Nice to Have
• PSPO, CSPO or similar certification
