Scrum Master – SharePoint / Enterprise Software Platforms (EU Agency Project)
About the client & the role
We are Optiveum, a specialized tech recruitment and outsourcing company. We are currently sourcing a Scrum Master on behalf of our IT consulting partner. In this role, you will be part of the TIMEDEV framework, delivering services directly for a prestigious European Union agency based in Warsaw (operating in the international security and border management sector).
You will support the Enterprise Software Platforms portfolio, working with a development team focused on SharePoint solutions. Your mission is to make Scrum work in practice: facilitating the team, removing impediments, supporting the Product Owner and continuously improving how the team delivers.
What you will do
• Facilitate all Scrum ceremonies, including sprint planning, daily stand-ups, reviews and retrospectives.
• Coach team members, mediate conflicts, foster self-organisation and help the team make decisions.
• Balance the development team’s focus on technical quality with the Product Owner’s need for new features.
• Support the Product Owner in optimising and ordering the product backlog, writing and splitting user stories, shaping product vision and release planning.
• Remove impediments and facilitate open communication between the Scrum team and other stakeholders.
• Improve engineering processes and implement changes that increase the team’s productivity.
• Help the team use Scrum logs, metrics and charts effectively, and lead the adoption of Scrum among stakeholders.
Our expectations
•
Experience: Minimum 5 years of professional IT experience.
• Specialized Experience: At least 3 years of hands-on experience as a Scrum Master or in a similar position.
• Education: Minimum Bachelor’s or Engineer’s degree (Level 6). An ICT-related degree is not mandatory.
• Languages: English at a B2 level.
• Certifications (Mandatory): A Scrum Master certification (e.g. PSM, CSM) or an equivalent internationally recognized certification.
Core Competencies:
• Strong knowledge of Scrum rules, techniques and practices, with the ability to give concrete examples of ceremonies you have run in your own projects.
• Expertise in estimating and planning iterative and incremental software development.
• Knowledge of other agile approaches such as Kanban and XP.
• Experience as a team lead, with excellent communication, conflict resolution, leadership and mentoring skills.
• A track record of improvement: you have introduced at least 3 improvements to how your team works in the last 12 months.
• Real involvement in the business context and goals behind the team’s work.
• Experience with SharePoint development projects is a strong advantage.
What is offered
• Salary: Up to 128 PLN net/h (B2B contract).
• Type of work: Remote from Poland (near-site model). You must live within 2 hours of the client’s Warsaw headquarters, so you can be on site when requested.
• Stability: Long-term cooperation under a framework contract.
• Impact: A chance to work on critical enterprise systems for a major European institution in a regulated environment.
