Senior Data Product Owner

Emagine is seeking a Senior Data Product Owner to join a collaborative, fast-paced transformation project in Lisbon. This role is ideal for an experienced Product Owner with a strong background in data-driven initiatives, stakeholder management, and Agile delivery, looking to contribute at a senior level within business-critical data platform and product environments.
You will play a key role in defining, prioritizing, and driving the evolution of data products, ensuring alignment between business objectives and technical delivery. Acting as a Senior Data Product Owner, you will work closely with business stakeholders, engineering teams, and the DataHub-IT team to support strategic initiatives, manage product roadmaps, and ensure the successful delivery of high-value data solutions.

Your Main Responsibilities:
• Translate business and functional requirements into clear user stories, backlog items, and delivery priorities
• Define and manage product roadmaps, ensuring alignment with business objectives and value delivery
• Collaborate closely with business stakeholders, engineering teams, and the DataHub-IT team to drive product development
• Assess business impact, manage dependencies, and support decision-making across multiple initiatives
• Ensure effective backlog management using Agile methodologies, including Scrum and Kanban
• Promote best practices in data governance, including data quality, lineage, access management, and compliance
• Maintain clear and comprehensive product documentation, including Confluence pages, runbooks, and architecture decisions
• Challenge stakeholders and delivery teams to ensure optimal product outcomes and continuous improvement
• Facilitate communication between business and technical teams, ensuring alignment throughout the product lifecycle
• Communicate effectively with internal teams and stakeholders to support ongoing operations and successful project delivery

You Bring:
• Proven experience as a Product Owner within data-driven or analytics-focused environments
• Strong ability to translate functional requirements into user stories, backlog items, and product priorities
• Experience managing stakeholders across business and technical teams
• Strong understanding of Agile methodologies, including Scrum and Kanban
• Experience using Jira, Confluence, or similar Agile collaboration tools
• Good understanding of data governance principles, including data quality, lineage, access, and compliance
• Strong organizational, analytical, and prioritization skills
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to balance business objectives and technical delivery
• Experience coordinating cross-functional teams and managing product roadmaps

Nice to Have:
• Experience working with enterprise DataHub or data platform initiatives
• Exposure to data transformation or modernization projects
• Experience defining operating models and delivery processes for data teams
• Previous experience working within international and complex enterprise environments

Location & Eligibility:
• Candidates must be based in Portugal
• Hybrid role based in Lisbon
• Fluent Portuguese and English are mandatory
