Senior Quantum Technologies Agile Project Manager

As a Senior Quantum Technologies Agile Project Manager, you will be working for our client, a leader in cutting-edge quantum research and cybersecurity. You will oversee end-to-end delivery of quantum-safe initiatives, ensuring projects progress at pace while adhering to the highest governance standards. Your leadership will drive measurable advancements in the Quantum Safe Programme, supporting HSBC’s commitment to digital security and innovation.

Your main responsibilities:
• Lead the delivery of quantum technology initiatives using Agile practices, establishing and maintaining detailed delivery plans and metrics aligned with organizational OKRs.
• Coordinate cross-functional teams, ensuring seamless execution, obstacle removal, and transparent progress reporting.
• Manage dependencies across teams and third-party vendors to support quantum-safe outcomes, including cryptography modernization and vendor ecosystem readiness.
• Facilitate prioritization and decision-making processes, ensuring compliance with HSBC governance and control requirements.
• Develop management dashboards, reports, and maintain clear audit trails to ensure transparency and support programme governance.
• Collaborate with Product Owners to translate strategic priorities into actionable backlogs and delivery roadmaps.
• Maintain stakeholder engagement across senior technical and non-technical audiences, advocating for project needs and managing escalations effectively.
• Oversee risk assessments, vendor coordination, and project mitigation strategies, ensuring projects align with HSBC’s security standards and transformation goals.

You’re ideal for this role if you have:
• At least 5 years of experience as an Agile Project or Delivery Manager in complex, cross-technology programs.
• Strong practical knowledge of Agile delivery methodologies within highly regulated environments.
• Proven expertise with JIRA and advanced reporting capabilities.
• Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills, comfortable engaging with both technical and executive audiences.
• Experience managing dependencies, risks, and milestones across multiple teams.
• Ability to operate effectively in a structured, controls-driven setting.

It is a strong plus if you have:
• Experience delivering quantum-safe, cryptography modernization, or deep-tech transformations.
• Background in cybersecurity engineering and control environments.
• Prior experience working within financial institutions such as HSBC.
• Experience coordinating vendor-led engineering projects in Agile contexts.

Language Required for the role:
• Fluent in English, with excellent communication skills.
