Technology Managing Director

About the role
We are recruiting on behalf of an established international technology company developing complex, high-performance software solutions for global markets.
We are looking for an experienced Technology Managing Director to lead the company’s business and technology organisation. As a member of the Management Board, you will combine responsibility for the company’s overall performance with ownership of its technology strategy, engineering organisation and transformation.
This is a high-impact executive role offering genuine influence over the company’s future direction, operating model and leadership culture.
Your responsibilities
• Lead the company’s strategic, operational and financial development as a member of the Management Board.
• Define and execute the business and technology strategy in cooperation with the company’s leadership team and international stakeholders.
• Lead the technology organisation, including Software Development, DevOps and Infrastructure.
• Translate business objectives into a scalable technology roadmap and clear organisational priorities.
• Drive organisational and technology transformation, improving delivery, efficiency and cross-functional collaboration.
• Ensure the scalability, security, reliability and long-term development of the company’s platforms and architecture.
• Build and develop strong leadership teams and foster a culture of accountability, collaboration and engineering excellence.
• Oversee technology budgets, infrastructure costs, external vendors and strategic investments.
• Ensure effective technology governance, cybersecurity, data protection and business continuity.
• Represent the company and act as a trusted partner to senior stakeholders in an international environment.
What we are looking for
• Senior leadership experience gained in a software company, product organisation or complex technology environment.
• Experience in a Managing Director, CTO, VP of Engineering, Technology Director or similar executive role.
• Technical Background: Solid technical background as a software engineering, platform architecture and technology leadership.
• Proven ability to connect business priorities with technology strategy and execution.
• Strong understanding of software engineering, system architecture, cloud infrastructure, DevOps and cybersecurity.
• Experience in leading organisational or technology transformation.
• Strong business and financial acumen, including budget and vendor management.
• Proven success in building and developing high-performing teams and technology leaders.
• Experience working with international and geographically distributed stakeholders.
• A pragmatic leadership style combining strategic thinking with effective execution.
• Excellent communication, analytical and decision-making skills.
• Fluency in Polish and English.
• Willingness to travel for approximately 20% of working time.
