Firmware Validation Engineer

We are seeking a highly skilled Firmware Validation Engineer to join our team and ensure the reliability and performance of storage firmware across cutting-edge platforms. In this role, you will validate firmware and features for Intel RST, TSE, VMD, NVMe, and SATA drives, working closely with firmware, BIOS, and platform teams to deliver robust solutions. Key Responsibilities: • Validate storage firmware and Intel RST/TSE features across SATA, NVMe, and VMD platforms. • Perform comprehensive firmware validation for RST, TSE, VMD, NVMe, and SATA drives. • Conduct BIOS/BKC verification and firmware certification. • Perform firmware and BIOS flashing, integration, and debugging. • Analyze root causes of firmware failures using logs, traces, and dumps. • Validate encryption, power states, reset, and recovery scenarios. • Reproduce customer and production bugs (HSDES) for investigation. • Collaborate closely with Intel firmware, BIOS, and platform teams to resolve issues. Tools & Technologies: • BIOS tools, firmware flash tools, PowerShell, Python, Linux CLI, WinPE • Platforms: Linux, Windows, UEFI, VMD, with awareness of virtualization Required Skills: • Strong knowledge of storage domains (NVMe, SATA, AHCI) • Experience with firmware and BIOS interactions • Analytical and debugging mindset for firmware logs and crash dumps • Exposure to platform-level architectures is preferred This is an exciting opportunity for engineers passionate about storage technologies and firmware validation to make a tangible impact on high-performance systems :)
