As a QA Lead, you will be responsible for directing software development teams, defining testing strategies, automating processes, and ensuring product reliability before release. The person must have an automation-first focus, with exposure to drive the implementation of automation tools and best practices to optimize testing efficiency. Responsibilities you'll have • Perform requirements review and align on expectations to support high-quality delivery • Test scenario and test case preparation • Test data preparation • Implement test automation scripts in Python • Implement automated solutions for day-to-day tasks • Test planning and test execution • Test results analysis and defect reporting • Execute automated regression using CI/CD • Identify and implement process improvements in day-to-day work, tasks, and challenges Expected competences and knowledge • 7+ years in test automation / QA engineering with end-to-end ownership • Hands-on experience with test automation in Python • Proven experience in Big Data environments: Hadoop, Hive, Spark • Working knowledge of Scala in a Spark context (supporting/validating data pipelines, debugging, test enablement) • Practical experience with CI/CD for automation and Git • Strong SQL and experience with database technologies • Strong working experience with Linux and bash Nice to have • Basic AWS knowledge • Commercial experience in Robot Framework • Docker / containerizationTest management tools • Additional Hadoop ecosystem components Technologies you'll work with • Hadoop • Hive • Apache Spark • Scala • Python • Robot Framework • SQL • Git • AWS Client – why choose this particular client from the Jit portfolio?
