Mid QA Automation Engineer (Java) Salary: 115-125 PLN/h Work Model: Remote work with visits to any Cognizant office once a month and once a quarter for 2-3 days in Warsaw. We're looking for a talented Software Development Engineer in Test with strong Java skills to join our team. Mandatory technical criteria: • 4+ years of experience in QA Automation • Strong commercial experience with Java • RestAssured or equivalent API automation in Java • Experience integrating tests into CI/CD pipelines • Solid SQL and relational database skills • Experience testing event driven architecture, events / messaging (preferably Kafka but could be similar) • Docker / AWS • Mocking tools (Preferably using Wiremock) NICE-TO-HAVE or at least some experience: • Kubernetes • Contract Testing / Pact • Observability and monitoring tools (Grafana, Prometheus, Datadog, Kibana) Other expectations: • Bug prevention and fail-fast mindset • Mindset for knowledge sharing • Proven analytical ability, problem-solving and risk management skills • Fluent communication in English What we offer: • Remote-first work model (occasional Warsaw meetings) • Work in international teams (Poland, UK, US).
