About the Role We are looking for an experienced Performance Test Engineer to take ownership of non-functional testing in a cloud-native environment. You will ensure that systems are scalable, stable, and ready to handle real-world traffic. The role combines close collaboration with engineering teams and independent ownership of performance testing strategy and execution. Responsibilities • Design and execute performance, load, stress, and scalability tests (API, E2E, infrastructure). • Integrate performance testing into CI/CD pipelines. • Define and track performance baselines, SLAs and SLOs. • Build dashboards to visualize performance trends and bottlenecks. • Analyse system behaviour under different load conditions. • Identify bottlenecks and collaborate with teams on performance optimizations. • Conduct capacity planning and scalability analysis. • Deliver clear performance reports and actionable insights. Requirements • Strong experience in performance and non-functional testing. • Hands-on experience with tools such as JMeter, k6 or Taurus. • Experience working with AWS (required). • Experience integrating tests into CI/CD (e.g. GitHub Actions, Jenkins). • Ability to analyse metrics (latency, throughput, error rates). • Scripting skills (Java, JavaScript, Python or similar). • Understanding of distributed systems and microservices. • Knowledge of REST APIs and async communication patterns. • Experience with observability tools (e.g. Kibana, CloudWatch). • Strong documentation skills (Post-Mortems, performance reports). • Experience working in distributed teams. • Fluent English. Nice to Have • Experience with Real User Monitoring (RUM) and synthetic testing. • Experience with Kubernetes (EKS) and autoscaling validation. • Understanding of security in performance testing. • Ability to work with Terraform.
