Please note: Remote mode but later hybrid in Warsaw Position Overview We are looking for a QA Automation Lead to manage and improve the daily quality engineering work for our platform. You will lead a small QA team, set testing standards for your group, and work directly on building and maintaining automation frameworks. This role is very hands-on. You will be responsible for test coverage, lead automation work, and make sure the releases in your area meet quality standards. Key Responsibilities • Design, build, and maintain automated test frameworks for UI, API, and end-to-end testing. • Lead a small team of QA engineers by giving practical guidance, reviewing code, and helping with daily tasks. • Take responsibility for test coverage in your product areas and make sure problems are found before release. • Integrate and maintain automated tests in CI/CD pipelines and manage feedback for the team. • Set and maintain testing standards, processes, and documentation in the team. • Work closely with developers and product managers to review requirements and create detailed test plans. • Manage bug reviews and test failure analysis, working with engineers to fix issues. • Continuously improve test reliability, speed, and coverage, and report risks to engineering leaders. Qualifications • At least 4 years of experience in QA automation and experience managing a test automation codebase. • Practical experience with tools like Playwright, Cypress, or Selenium. • Good knowledge of TypeScript or JavaScript for writing and maintaining test scripts. • Experience working with CI/CD test pipelines such as GitHub Actions, Jenkins, or similar tools. • Experience testing APIs using tools like Postman or Supertest. • Knowledge of REST API and WebSocket testing for real-time features. • Understanding of Git workflows and agile development practices. Soft Skills • Good communication skills and ability to explain quality issues to developers and product teams. • Strong sense of responsibility for test results and solving problems. • Organized and careful with work, able to manage tasks across different features and releases. • Supportive team leader who likes helping junior engineers grow and improving overall quality.
