QA engineer

O projekcie: We are looking for a QA Engineer to ensure the quality of our digital products across either: - Web application environments, or - Integrated systems combining mobile and web applicationsDepending on your background, you will focus on one of these domains while collaborating with cross-functional teams to deliver reliable, high-quality software. In this role, you’ll have the opportunity to design and execute test strategies for the automated UI tests, while also diving into integration testing. Beyond test automation, you will actively contribute to fostering a quality-first mindset within the team, helping to embed best practices and making sure that quality is considered at every stage of development. Wymagania: - At least a BSc degree in computer science- 2+ years of experience in test automation- Strong understanding of QA methodologies (functional, regression, smoke, UAT, exploratory)- Strong coding skills in at least one relevant language (Java, Python, JavaScript) to write and extend integration and UI tests- Experience with integrating automated tests into CI/CD pipelines (GitHub Actions, Jenkins, …)- Experience with API testing tools (e.g., Postman, SoapUI) - Understanding of SDLC and Agile/kanban practices- Ability to create clear and comprehensive test documentation- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills; ability to think like an end-user- Good communication skills to work across dev and QA teams- Fluent in Hungarian, both written and spoken- Fluent in English, both written and spoken Codzienne zadania: - Implement and maintain automated tests with modern frameworks (e.g. Cypress, Playwright, JUnit, TestNG, PyTest) - Write and extend API, integration and UI tests - Integrate the automated tests into the CI/CD pipelines (GitHub Actions, Jenkins, …) - Contribute to system tests to keep test automation high and improve coverage where necessary - Execute manual tests as necessary - Participate in defect triage, provide detailed bug reports, and verify fixes - Continue the topic of test data creation to stabilise manual and automated tests - Bring quality mindset into the refinement meetings and challenge tickets’ acceptance criteria - Act as sparring partner and specialist for colleagues’ test-related questions - Help the team embed quality into the process, by sharing knowledge, coaching colleagues, and championing a proactive approach to testing
