Senior Java Test Automation Engineer – API and Performance Testing

Warszawa-based opportunity with hybrid work model (4 remote days per week).As a Senior Java Test Automation Engineer, you will be working for our client, a leader in the IT industry dedicated to delivering innovative software solutions. Your main responsibilities:
• Develop, enhance, and maintain automated tests using Java to support CI/CD pipelines.
• Design and execute API tests (REST/SOAP) with tools such as Gatling and Rest Assured.
• Collaborate with developers and analysts to plan, execute, and report comprehensive testing strategies.
• Analyze test results, report bugs, and assist in their resolution to uphold software integrity.
• Participate in test planning, estimations, and contribute to ongoing process improvements in quality assurance.
• Share knowledge and promote best practices within the automation team to optimize testing methodologies.
• Contribute to the creation of quality metrics and initiatives for continuous process enhancement.

You're ideal for this role if you have:
• Minimum 8 years of experience in test automation, with at least 5 years in Java-based automation.
• Strong expertise in Java development and automation, including REST API testing with tools like Rest Assured and Gatling.
• Hands-on experience with test management and bug tracking tools such as JIRA.
• Working knowledge of CI/CD tools such as Jenkins and Git.
• Proficiency in SQL for data validation and querying.
• Proven ability to work effectively within diverse development and testing teams.
• Proactive problem-solving skills and excellent organizational capabilities.

It is a strong plus if you have:
• Experience with UFT Developer plugin, ISTQB certifications, or other testing tools like Playwright.
• Background in performance testing, UFT ONE Visual Basic, or API mocking tools such as Swagger and Postman.

• Polish: Good command
• English: Communicative level
