Senior Software Test Engineer (f/m)

The clipx ENGINEER engineering software for control cabinet building makes it possible to plan and order terminal strips, assembled mounting panels, and junction boxes more efficiently than ever. We also support our customers who run their own terminal strip production with our clipx ENGINEER assemble worker assistance add-on. This is your opportunity to join an international team of highly skilled and motivated engineers and help us deliver new features to make our customers even more efficient.   What you’ll do: • Owning the test strategy for software development projects for clipx ENGINEER • Contributing to the overall architecture with regards to testability and localizability in collaboration with the software architect • Creating test specifications for new product features as well as the required test infrastructure for automation • Maintenance of existing test suites and test infrastructure • Test execution, both automated and manual, and reporting • Review of functional and design specifications as well as pull requests for features, tests, and test infrastructure • Mentoring of junior team members • Working with internal and external partner teams   What we’re looking for: • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, applied computer science, software engineering, or a closely related field • At least 6 years of industry experience as a software test engineer • Extensive knowledge of and experience with common testing methods and tactics • Several years of experience with both class-based and prototype-based object-oriented programming (C# and TypeScript preferred) • Several years of experience with testing web applications and web services • Excellent written and spoken English (at least CEFR level B2) • Hybrid work (preferred) or remote work • CV in English Optional: • Master’s degree in computer science, applied computer science, software engineering, or a closely related field • ISTQB Certified Tester Advanced Level (CTAL) • Experience with .NET and Angular • Comprehensive validation of installers (install, uninstall, repair, upgrade, downgrade, compatibility matrices, etc.) • Testing of custom PowerShell cmdlets • Concurrent programming with tasks/promises and threads • Experience with public clouds (e.g., Microsoft Azure, AWS) and common ways of deploying and orchestrating workloads (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes, serverless, event routing, queues)   What we offer: • Stability and long-term growth opportunities within a global organization • Close cooperation with colleagues from Germany • Attractive benefits such as private healthcare, Multisport • Participation in interesting projects • Development opportunities and a wide range of training, including subsidised language courses • Housing loans and a loan and assistance fund • Annual bonus • A referral bonus • Flexible working hours • Subsidies for commuting more than 30 km from PxCBS • Parking space for employees • Possibility to work remotely up to 8 days a month
