Project
We are looking for a Senior Test Automation Engineer for a leading Nordic Bank to support end-to-end test automation for payment flows across multiple applications, using Python and Robot Framework.
The role focuses on test analysis, test case design, implementation, execution, and root cause analysis, as well as designing and building test frameworks. You will work in an Agile/SAFe environment, collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure high-quality testing processes. The position also involves API and UI test automation, with a strong emphasis on robust and scalable automation practices.
 

Responsibilities you'll have
• Conduct comprehensive test analysis to understand requirements and identify appropriate testing scope for payment flows across multiple applications
• Design detailed and structured test cases based on functional and non-functional requirements, ensuring coverage of end-to-end scenarios
• Implement automated test cases using Python and Robot Framework in line with established standards and best practices
• Execute automated tests for API and UI layers, ensuring stability and reliability of payment processes
• Perform root cause analysis for identified defects, collaborating with cross-functional teams to resolve issues efficiently
• Design and develop test automation frameworks, contributing to their continuous improvement and scalability
 

Expected competences and knowledge

Strong proficiency in Python programming
• Hands-on experience with Robot Framework for test automation
• Experience with API and UI test automation
• Understanding of software testing principles and methodologies

• Experience working in Agile/SAFe environments
• Familiarity with version control systems (Git)
• Ability to work collaboratively in cross-functional teams
 

Nice to have
• Experience with Jenkins CI/CD pipelines
• Knowledge of Kafka message streaming platform
• Experience with Splunk for log analysis and monitoring
• Experience with Jira and qTest
• Background in building test automation frameworks from scratch
