Opis stanowiska

For our client from the aviation industry – a global organization building large-scale, safety-critical data platforms – we are looking for a senior Test Automation Engineer to take ownership of quality and automation for a big-data solution (BTE). This role combines strong hands-on automation skills with architectural thinking in the data/lakehouse space. Key responsibilities • Own test strategy and release quality for a large-scale data platform • Design and maintain scalable automation frameworks for data pipelines (Databricks/Spark), APIs, and selected UI components • Implement advanced data validation (schema checks, delta comparisons, anomaly detection) • Integrate automated tests into CI/CD (Azure DevOps or GitHub Actions), including quality gates and regression protection • Drive performance and scalability testing for Spark workloads • Define test data, mocking strategies, and environment-aware test setups • Collaborate closely with data engineers and DevOps; mentor others and promote good testing standards Ideal candidate profile • 8+ years of experience in software engineering or test automation • Strong background in data platforms (Databricks, Spark, Delta Lake or similar) • Hands-on experience building automation frameworks and embedding them into CI/CD • Strong coding skills (Python, Java, or Scala) • Experience testing data pipelines and distributed systems • Comfortable working cross-team and influencing quality practices Nice to have: • Experience with streaming/data lake testing patterns • Performance/load testing tools • Observability tooling (e.g., Azure Monitor, Prometheus/Grafana) • Experience in regulated or safety-critical environments Conditions • Work model: hybrid in Gdańsk or 100% remote • Salary: 130-160 PLN/h, depends on your experience • Employment type: B2B • Benefits: medical care, life insurance, trainings, Multisport card Recruitment steps • Phone call with Recruiter (20 - 30 min.) • Technical interview with Client (may required 2 rounds) • Feedback and decision
