Credit Risk Analyst

We are looking for a Credit Risk Analyst for one of our clients within the banking area. Start: Within 1 month Duration: 6 months to start with, high possibility for extension Location: Stockholm, min 2-3 days/week at the office About the roleIn this position, you will dynamically move across our clients financial risk landscape, analyzing and independently monitoring credit risk, liquidity risk, and market risk across our global portfolio, identifying emerging risk trends. You will work cross functionally with teams across the company to improve risk management processes and ensure that the client operates within its risk appetite.• Analyze consumer credit risk trends across global portfolios, getting into the details and reviewing individual credit decisions to generate actionable insights on underwriting strategies • Use SQL and Python to independently review the implementation of the companies credit risk management strategies, such as automated decisioning rules, credit monitoring data models, and loan servicing logic • Improve and automate recurring independent financial risk monitoring • Collaborate with other risk professionals and business units on targeted deep dives into risk management processes used for managing counterparty risks, FX risk, interest rate risk, and liquidity risks • Translate complex data into actionable improvements balancing growth and risk Your Profile • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Data Science, Mathematics, or a related field • Minimum of 4-5+ years of experience in risk management, credit risk, treasury, or a consulting/audit environment within financial services • Foundational understanding of how financial risks arise within financial institutions and the core strategies used to manage them • Proficient in SQL and comfortable navigating large datasets • Effective verbal and written communicator • Highly driven and curious, eager to collaborate across teams, and able to think creatively and pragmatically about complex problems and solutions
