As a Cybersecurity Data Loss Prevention (DLP) Engineer – Senior/Expert Role, you will be working for our client, a leading global financial services organization specializing in secure, innovative technology solutions. You will help build and deliver sophisticated DLP strategies that protect sensitive data, support regulatory compliance, and uphold the integrity of the bank’s digital landscape. Your main responsibilities: • Lead the design, implementation, and management of Data Loss Prevention (DLP) policies and tools across the organization. • Collaborate with global teams to support Data in Motion and Data at Use security initiatives. • Manage and optimize DLP products, including experience with Symantec DLP, Proofpoint, Trellix, zScaler, or MIP data classification products. • Conduct testing, scripting, and automation activities to ensure security controls are effective and efficient. • Provide expert guidance on Data Security, privacy, and data anonymization practices. • Work closely with cybersecurity, risk, and technology teams to ensure compliance with HSBC’s security standards. • Support regulatory audits and contribute to the ongoing enhancement of cybersecurity controls. You're ideal for this role if you have: • At least 5 years of experience in cybersecurity, with a focus on Data Leakage Prevention or Data Security. • Proven expertise with two or more DLP solutions such as Symantec DLP, Proofpoint, Trellix, zScaler, or MIP data classification. • Strong knowledge of Data in Motion and Data in Use security principles. • Experience with cloud environments, network/system administration, and DLP policy management. • Excellent documentation, testing, scripting, and automation skills. • Fluency in English — both written and spoken. • Strong stakeholder engagement and communication skills, able to convey complex issues to diverse audiences. • Knowledge of regulatory and compliance standards within financial services. It is a strong plus if you have: • Certifications in cybersecurity or data protection. • Experience working with auditors and regulators.
