Nasze wymagania: Postgraduate experience in copyright or contract law. Interest and experience in software development. Hands-on experience with open source software either from a usage or contribution perspective. Experience in a controlled or regulated environment. Mile widziane: Legal training and in-depth knowledge of copyright law. Experience in DevSecOps and Agile environments. Familiarity with license evaluation tooling such as Nexus IQ Server, Black Duck, or similar. O projekcie: We are looking for a FOSS Licensing Subject Matter Expert with strong expertise in copyright and open source licensing. In this role, you will help define policies, processes, and controls for how the organization uses and contributes to Free and Open Source Software (FOSS). As part of the Engineering Practice team in the CTO function, you will collaborate closely with engineering teams and the legal department. This position is ideal for someone with deep knowledge of open source software licenses — their implications for copyright, modification, and distribution — combined with excellent analytical and communication skills. (6 days a month from the office in Kraków) Zakres obowiązków: Evaluate and communicate the implications of FOSS licenses to engineering teams. Support training and awareness initiatives around open source licensing within technology teams. Classify licenses not recognized by automation into predefined categories (Liberal, Permissible, Weak Copyleft, Copyleft, Banned). Review the current approach to open source license management and recommend changes or exceptions with associated conditions. Participate in selecting, assessing, and developing license evaluation automation tools. Note: Detailed project information will be shared during the recruitment process.
